IN THE PINK

IN THE PINK: THE PERFECT BLAZER

IN THE PINK: THE PERFECT BLAZER by cindyhome featuring zip bags

Why do we love the color Pink? Pink is a sign of hope. It is a positive color inspiring happiness, a sense of well being...one thinks of the old saying.."look at life with rose colored glasses"!  The color pink reminds us of love, nuturing, caring….it's equated with femininity, romance, tenderness and kindness....sends off vibes of empathy and sensitivity. So what happens when the PERFECT BLAZER comes in Pink? It’s Kismet! Love at first sight!

BLACK, WHITE & NUDE

BLACK, WHITE & NUDE

BLACK, WHITE & NUDE by cindyhome featuring round sunglasses

After a summer of bold brights and statement prints, the neutral color combo is a refreshing and calm departure. The Nude color softens the usual high contrast of black & white; and these separates offer a feminine & tailored option but still keeping it approachable, fun and playful!

THE SENSATION OF BLACK

THE SENSATION OF BLACK

THE SENSATION OF BLACK by cindyhome featuring judith leiber

The very antithesis of white, the realm of endless space, beyond time, black evokes mystery, intrigue and above all else embodies a tangible sexiness. The sensation of black can be incredible and offer enduring style and beauty. I love the black pictured here, the shine of the leather, the duality of the blouse..being both opaque and transparent, the texture of the snakeskin handbag, the sleekness of the boot. All from Mango..3 cheers!

COLOR ME BRIGHT

COLOR ME BRIGHT

COLOR ME BRIGHT by cindyhome featuring stella mccartney

As I wrote before, one of my favorite trends that can move from Summer to Fall is the Color Block trend. Seen on the Spring runways of Marc by Marc Jacobs, BCBG Max Azria, and Sophie Theallet, color-blocked looks can range from bold contrasting color combinations to more neutral pairings. And now we see prints combined with bold solid color as seen by the top from Stella McCartney. This freshens up the whole trend, makes it “Fall-friendly”, adds graphic interest as well as being really flattering on the body, instantly slimming you in just the right places.

GO TO PIECES

FALL TO PIECES!

FALL TO PIECES! by cindyhome featuring strapless dresses

The modernity of the color-block trend in fashion is far from new, it sprung from the roaring 60’s…and now it is back with a big bang! This was first shown on the runways back in 2011; it has shown up again this year and I predict the popularity to continue to grow into Fall 13. It’s fun, playful, and one cannot ignore it’s brightness and how it can add impact to your wardrobe.  It is a trend that looks great on the shapely and young, however mature women can wear this trend too. Celebrities were seen wearing this trend at the recent New York Fashion shows, here I have shown affordable pieces that will not break the bank!

BAROQUE BEAUTY

BAROQUE BEAUTY by cindyhome featuring a bronzing powder

One of the biggest trends coming out of the Fall 12 runways has been the Baroque trend. On Dolce & Gabbana’s runway we see the time honored homespun craft of needlepoint & lace, the romanticism of roses and cherubs, a leopard print and a touch of gold added as a kick and you have one of the most creatively sexy and chic collections of the Fall season. The accessories are by D&G, the skirt courtesy of Pink Tartan, The blouse from Haute Hippie and the faux fur vest from DKNY.
